Summer Plaid
Plaid. Just that word can some times make you apprehensive to a shirt, but with the right styling you will look great! I took this short sleeve button and just threw a simple cardigan on top. Easy! You can’t tell that it is short sleeve at all.

Finals week is quickly approaching as my first year of college comes to an end. In addition, I have started a new job for part of the summer. I am now the PR Assistant at Vince. This job is full-time and demands a lot of my attention, but I promise to make sure my blogging keeps up.
I also have so much in the works. I am going to Miami for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim and I am attending a private preview of the new Met exhibit before the Gala.
Make sure you following me on my various social medias so you can keep up to date!

Shadow Play
Spring is showing itself - finally - here in New York. Why not take a stroll down in the West Village and have lunch?

Keep it simple
Having just gotten back from L.A. I wanted to dress sharp, but casual. A super soft pullover, jeans (that look like khakis), and comfortable oxfords was the best route to go.

I am currently in California for the DECA International CDC. I have been a member of DECA since my freshman year of high school and I am so happy to continue in to Collegiate DECA.
While here, I popped in to LA for WeTheUrban’s Coachella Party and had a night on the town with a bunch of my friends. It was great! Today is my last day here, but it was a wonderful trip. I’ve never been on the west coast so this was a treat.
I paired a tank with preppy, flat front shorts to keep everything casual while out here. Also, a little arm candy never hurt any one.

California Dreamin’
I am currently in California for a conference and the weather is amazing. I now have consistent weather to wear some of my favorite spring pieces.
Before coming here I was able to team up with Elie Tahari to shoot a bunch of their Spring/Summer 2013 pieces during my stay.

Slim jeans, oxfords without socks, a bright polo and a cardigan. This is my uniform for cool spring and summer days. I would add a cardigan just to prep up my look year round. Dark denim, cuffed, helps keep the look very casual.
What is your style for the spring and summer?

Weekend With Elie
So, I got a haircut. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments, but I feel it is really short! Thoughts?
This weekend, the temperature has dropped so that means break out the transition pieces: A pullover top, a nice windbreaker (I would wear this year round), and a pair of my favorite khakis. I was wearing all very neutral colors and I wanted to add a pop. The easiest thing to do was to switch out my shoelaces and I am keeping these ones in. They offer the prefect pop.
What are you wearing to transition from in to spring and summer?

Summer Essentials
Amazing weather calls for some amazing, everyday staple pieces. Spring and summer are all about color. Let’s colorblock! A solid polo with a pair of solid shorts is a great route.
In addition to having summer essentials clothing pieces, I have a other essentials. First, FruitWater by Glacéau (they make SmartWater and VitaminWater also). Next, my year-round sunglasses are Ray-Ban wafers. Last, blast those summer singles with a killer pair of massive headphones, because why not?

Tea Attire
I got invited to my first formal tea party. Tumblr, the CFDA’s Steven Kolb, Lela Rose, and Kusmi Tea invited twelve top fashion and photography Tumblr bloggers to her amazing Soho home to get to know her better and drink some amazing tea. What to where?
It was a casual event so dark, slim jeans, a button down, and a blazer was the way to go.
When we got to Lela’s home she was in her bare feet flying around the kitchen making everything from scratch! Biscuits, quail deviled eggs, and more! It was a magical day and expect an awesome post about it very soon.
