BURBERRY PRORSUM SPRING/SUMMER 2013

Very few brands ignite a flame inside their followers each season. Burberry is one that can do that. Live streaming the show, live Instagraming and tweeting, and Style.com was “Instant” with collection meaning they were posting photos from the show in almost real-time. As I write this “Burberry” and “Burberry Fashion Show” was trending worldwide for a little bit and in regions.

The collection is always a treat with new twists on many classic Burberry staples. This season Christopher Bailey was feeling metallic. Hues of fabric made their way as trench coats, bags, tops, and more. Most notable was the ease into other fabrics. By layering a metallic top with a wool cape allowed Bailey to move into a different mood with the collection.

Along with the collection were a few mens looks. Suits paired with metallic button downs to be exact.  On a personal note: I want to own this look.

Crossing the pond time! London Fashion Week is a spectacular fashion week and highly different compared to New York Fashion Week. New York is slightly more commercial where as London is very serious with there fashion which is only better for the consumer.

Burberry, like other mega-brands, creates trends, updates them or both. This season their signature trench received a major upgrade. Trends we first saw during the Milan mens’ shows have been see all the way to New York and in London.

Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012

This show is Burberry at its finest. Sleek suits, lovely coats, and dapper gentlemen.

This show also proves what I have been saying: layering and accessories are a must for fall! Surprisingly, puffy jackets are back in. I saw them pop up a little this past season, but they will be here full force next Fall/Winter.
