OP/ED: BUYING YOUR WAY INTO FASHION
Fashion, sometimes considered very elitist, is actually becoming more open and available to everyone. Recent documentaries such as “The September Issue” and “Bill Cunningham New York” allow viewers an inside glimpse of major events and happening in the fashion industry. But would you buy your way into fashion?
Above, the four internships postings on CharityBuzz for Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, M Missoni, and Valentino. This is all for a good cause though. All proceeds will go to Rosie’s Theatre Kids, a charity in New York City.
But, should this be allowed or should everyone have the same opportunity to apply for an internship? How much would you spend to have an unpaid internship at a prestige fashion house? Answer in the comments or when reblogging!
